Veronica Latifiane, a young
girl who was starting to reach her dreams after she got Bachelor of Humaniora.
She was born in Jakarta, on the end of 1989. She was starting to write from she
was in Junior High School and the song of Secondhand Serenade, A rocket to the
moon and also Westlife always be her favorite playlist when she is writing a
story. Crush, The Shock of Love is her first novel. And yeah, this novel can
make the readers shock in every sheet of this novel.
For Kezya, the best life is
when she find a calmness, like a class in the semester exam, like when her
family didn’t get problem with their finance or like she didn’t talk to her
senior if she felt in love with him. But since met Jovan, everything has
changed. Kezya can’t find it again. Jovan is a new trouble maker for Kezya.
Jovan like an opposite of Kezya, they are so different. Honestly, If she can,
she wants Jovan to go away from her life. But, Kezya know that only Jovan who
has an out way for her problem, to depend her house, the place which she grew
up and one of the best thing she ever had.
After she gets an out way
from Jovan, appear a new problem. Kezya must be a Jovan’s assistant and do everything what he needs, everywhere,
everytime. In the first, Kezya thinks that it will be a harder thing ever. But,
she’s wrong. Turn out, Jovan is a better one than she ever knew. He has the
other side and it makes a change for her life. Make she draws a smile, feel her
heart beat faster, and maybe he has been the reason why can she feel all of it,
and why must she there in the world.
Kezya is falling in love with
Jovan, and Jovan is doing the same way. But, it isn’t the end of this story.
Suddenly, there’s problems come for them and make they miss communication. They
don’t talk, call, message, get eye contact and meet one each other. ‘Till one
day, Jovan wanna break the obstacle both of them. He decides to bring Kezya to
the beach and tell her about his feeling. Jovan asks Kezya to be his girlfriend
and of course it makes Kezya speechless and confuse. She don’t know what must
she does. But, she can’t lie with herself. She nods her head and said Yes for
Jovan. Jovan comes to Kezya, hold her hand and start to sing this song “Maybe I’m Mr. Right, Baby, Maybe I’m the
one you like, Maybe I’m a shot in the dark, And you’re the morning light...”.
Kezya was happy, She looks at Jovan and start to smile. “He’s a special one who is gift from the God for me” she said for
herself.
With the flow easily to
understandable, making the readers isn’t confuse and easy to know what the
author means. Besides that the author gives us the amazing imagination about
the both of Jovan and Kezya. The characters in this novel also do their best,
with a good point of view. I’m absolutely love the cover of this novel, with
the soft colour and an unique form. The last, this novel also have some
vocabulary about German, and i love it.
There isn’t a perfect piece,
same like this novel. Veronica Latifiane forgets about the end. She don’t give
a more detail in the last part of this novel. And maybe this novel has a long
story. But this novel still can stole my heart.
This novel is able to makes the
reader interested until the end of story. And for the one who likes a romance
story and interest about Jerman, this novel is so suitable. So, I recommended
this novel to be one of your new collection. Let’s enjoy it.
